EasyList: Save & Organize All

EasyList Account & Data Deletion Request

This page provides instructions on how to delete your EasyList app account and associated data. Your privacy is important to us at EasyList.

Understanding Your EasyList Data

EasyList is designed with your privacy in mind. We primarily store your app data (lists, tasks, reminders) **locally on your device**. However, with the introduction of Google Login and Google Drive Backup & Restore, data handling involves your personal Google account and Google Drive.

  • EasyList App Account: When you use Google Login, EasyList connects to your Google account for authentication. We receive a unique identifier from Google to facilitate access and link to your Google Drive for backups. We do not store your Google password or sensitive personal Google account details.
  • Data on Your Device: All your lists, tasks, and reminder details are stored directly on your phone or tablet. Deleting the app from your device will remove this local data.
  • Data on Google Drive: If you use the "Google Drive Backup &Restore" feature, your entire EasyList collection is securely backed up to **your personal Google Drive account**. This data is stored within your Google Drive, under your control, and is not stored on EasyList's servers.

How to Delete Your EasyList Account and Data

Because EasyList primarily stores data locally and uses your personal Google Drive for backups, the deletion process involves steps you take directly.

Step 1: Delete Data from Your Device (Local Data)

To remove all app data stored locally on your device:

  1. Uninstall the EasyList app from your Android device.
  2. This action will automatically delete all lists, tasks, and reminders stored directly on that device.

Note: Uninstalling the app will remove local data, but it will NOT automatically delete any backups you have created in your Google Drive. Continue to Step 2 if you used Google Drive Backup.

Step 2: Delete Backed-Up Data from Your Google Drive (If Applicable)

If you used the "Google Drive Backup & Restore" feature, your EasyList backups are stored in your personal Google Drive. To delete these backups:

  1. Go to Google Drive in your web browser or open the Google Drive app.
  2. Navigate to the folder where your EasyList backups are saved (this is usually in a specific app data folder or a folder you designated during backup).
  3. Locate and delete any files related to your EasyList backups.

Important: Data stored on Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. EasyList does not have direct access to delete files from your personal Google Drive account; this action must be performed by you.

Step 3: Disconnect EasyList from Your Google Account

To revoke EasyList's access to your Google account (for login and Drive backup permissions):

  1. Go to your Google Account Security page.
  2. Under "Third-party apps with account access," find and select "EasyList."
  3. Choose the option to "Remove Access" or "Remove App."
  4. Confirm your choice.

This step ensures that EasyList can no longer access your Google account for future logins or backups. Your Google account data is handled by Google.

Data Retention

EasyList does not retain any of your personal data on its own servers, as all app data is stored locally on your device or in your personal Google Drive (if you enabled backup).

Therefore, once you complete the steps above:

  • Your local app data is deleted immediately upon uninstallation.
  • Your backed-up data on Google Drive is deleted when you manually remove it from your Google Drive account.
  • Your Google account association with EasyList is removed instantly upon revoking access via your Google Account settings.

We do not keep any copies of your lists, tasks, or reminder data. Any analytical or crash data would be anonymized and would not be associated with your personal identity or account.
